MapQuest has announced that transaction limits for their free Community licensing for mapping APIs have been removed! MapQuest has also clarified that the Community Edition license can be used for paid mobile applications.

This is great news for anyone concerned about Google’s recent pricing changes for Google Maps API.  In addition, MapQuest supports OpenStreetMaps – an awesome crowdsourced mapping platform that is extremely worthy of support.

We haven’t yet looked into converting web maps using the Google Maps API over to Mapquests, but we were able to switch over to using MapQuest for Android with very little difficulty (it was pretty much a straight drop in :) ).

Paypal’s Invoicing API helps automate the creation and sending of invoices  from your web applications.  Invoices can be customized with your business logo, contact information, itemized sales information, discounts, shipping costs, taxes, etc.

Paypal’s invoicing API should help smoothen the invoicing<>accounts receivable cycle for retailers who rely on manual invoicing or who do not already have a fully integrated ECommerce system.

More information can be found from the Paypal Developer Network.  There is also the Invoicing User’s Guide,  API Guide and various development kits for PHP, Java and C#.
